As many as 8,738 Quran memorizers took the examination in different categories, including memorization of 10 and 20 Juzes (parts) and memorization of the entire Quran.
The exam had been scheduled for this Friday, July 17, but was postponed by the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization.
According to Mohammad Ramezanifard, an official with the organization, it was held in 81 locations across the country.
The health protocols were fully observed during the exam.
Those who pass the written and oral exams successfully will receive Quran memorization certificates.
